I've started developing C# a few months ago with Visual Studio 10, but - ofcourse - I rather work with an open source development tool. SharpDevelop looks very good but the from designer doesn't work. I'm using version 4.1.0. I've been searching on the internet and I found I should open the right-click context menu and hit 'open with.' But I do not have the option 'open with form designer'. I looked at my preinstalled addons and it is included. What am I doing wrong? Wd my passport ultra software download.
Developer Community for Visual Studio Product family. Get help from our community supported forum. Visual Studio for Mac is in its early days, but the promise is already there with full NuGet integration, visual designers, Roslyn-powered compiler, IntelliSense code completion and smart refactoring features. If you have Visual Studio open, go to Tools > Get Tools and Features. Which opens the Visual Studio Installer. Or, open Visual Studio Installer from the Start menu. From there, you can select the workloads or components that you wish to install, then click Modify.
I cannot switch to SharpDevelop when I do not have a way to edit screens. Does this from designer also work for the MS Office addon ribbons i've been working on?
Best regards! Thank you for your help but.;-) Well, I'm not sure if it is called third party but I'm developing a excel 2007 addin. I build my own ribbon in Visual Studio but now I would really like to switch to SharpDevelop and (besides the publishing) being able to work on the ribbon is something standing in the way. I found the Configure sidebar, I added a control, just gave it a name and tried to add components. But ofcourse I didn't have a clue on which components (it's a list of hundreds of components) I should add to make it work. Can anybody help me in a bit more specific way how to add a control and components so I can see my ribbon in design view? Fl studio for mac.

I dont't exactly see what is your problem, so i'll list you the steps i 'd follow for an user control. SD -> New solution -> usercontrol library. Create your own user control. This gives you a DLL, let's name it: 'myCtrl.dll' SD -> New solution -> Winform application Important -> Switch to design mode Tools -> Configure sidebar Select a category or create one, then 'Add components' Custom -> Browse to your dll 'myCtrl.dll' Now your user control is available in the form designer. Another way is to simply reference the DLL then instanciate it manually without the designer. HI again, I tried the steps you propose. But the problem is that I do not have this ´design mode´ to switch to with my ribbon controll.
